Blog Design

I finished my first blog design for a client - my friend Erica at In the Light of Style.

In the Light of Style

If you haven't checked her blog out yet - you should! She has an incredible fashion blog and wanted a new layout to match her style. She wanted something clean, fashion-forward, and... bunnies! I had her compile an inspiration folder of colors, text, and images so I could visualize what she was going for and took it from there. The bunnies are her own illustrations! I simply made them vectors to fit the layout.

I really enjoyed working on this project. I learned quite a bit more in terms of html and I am excited to redesign my own blog shortly.

Need a new layout? I would love to design your blog!

I know I talked about it awhile back, but I would love to help other bloggers out by designing their blogs. I still haven't made a store front, but after working on the In the Light of Style blog I know that it is something I seriously want to do.

If you would like a blog redesign or bits and pieces designed feel free to shoot me an email at ammcgin@gmail.com for a quote.

I've got that crazy itch to redesign my entire blog... I've been thinking about it all day now. I can't wait to learn some more html for myself. It's fun, don't you think?

  2. i LOVE it. the bunnies are SO cute. loving it.

it took me a bit to get a design down for my blog that i liked enough. i wanted to tie it into my main site at first, so it was a reverse of that blog (white BG, black text instead of black BG white text) but then it became something else. and i finally landed on what it is today! i love when i get a design and just start, it's great fun to get the code to work, only i end up staying up really crazy late to do it!

  6. Allison, I love it! So clean, simple and totally cute! Those bunnies really did it for me ;) Also, when I do get my blog design thingy [finally] done, and believe me, I'm almost ready to take that step, I'll definitely have you do it. I've always taken cute pictures from the internet and stuff that I like so I'll start building my folder for you. I want to make sure I pick a theme or prints/details that I'll like-like, not just like for a bit.
Going to check out your post because I must have missed it.

    1. Thank you so much! After designing it I realized how cluttered mine is. Yikes. I can't even look at my page now, haha.

Aw, thank you! That is so awesome. Inspiration folders are so helpful - you have no idea. It just helps me visualize better what you like and don't. I make blog layout inspo folders all the time.

  11. It looks great! I'd love it of you could do one as a giveaway? My question is rather simple, how do you put images alongside each other? Rx
