Thrifted Thursday - Illustrated

Hi all! I am attempting to get back on my regular blogging schedule. I am currently in the process of moving though so I have to make do with what I have. Last night I began working on my new blog design! I must say I am pretty excited about it. While sitting in my room pondering what I should do for a header I saw my cute cat/dog/creature bank sitting on the shelf...

Remember him from a Thrifted Thursday a few months back?

Well, I decided to illustrate him. While I am not sure he will make the cut when it comes to my header I had fun drawing him anyway :] He still needs to be refined a bit, and I think he could use some glasses. Do any of you like to doodle?

I have been sans my camera the past week. I will be back to a regular schedule next week! Tomorrow my mom and I are driving up to Wisconsin to pick up some books for her work and we mayyyyy stop at the Jell Belly factory :] While I hate jelly beans it is still a fun place to visit. Hope you all are having a great day!!

    1. Thank you! Aww. I would love to see them. I am still debating adding sweetpea in a design.

Awesome! Did you go on the tour? I still haven't done that.

  5. Eeep! That little dog/kitty thing was my favorite from all your thrifted pieces so it's nice to see he's up for review on your header. :) His little bowtie does it for me, but I certainly could see upping the cute-factor by giving him some specs.
Your Wisconsin trip with your mommy sounds super fun! Especially the jelly belly part. The Starburst jelly beans are actually my favorite but still. I wouldn't say no if someone handed me a bag at the factory. You should however pick up some cheese curds while you're there!!! Now those are mmm-mmm-good.

    1. :] Thanks! I think he is one of my all time favorite thrifted items as well. I plan to play around with some specs later this afternoon.

It was a lot of fun...but we didn't make it to the Jelly Belly factory after all. We didn't have enough time for an extended stop. We did however pick up cheese curds and they sure are delish :]

    1. I used the pen tool - my all time favorite tool. It helps a lot creating clean lines.

  14. Hey. I really like your doodle. How did you create it? Was it many different lines using the pen tool, or one line?

    I'm still new with Illustrator..
