Hey guys! This week is flying by - wahoo. I hope I didn't turn too many of you off with my *ahem "different" blog post yesterday, I was in serious need of a laugh when I wrote it. If you can't laugh at yourself...right?
I spent the majority of last Saturday morning hitting up estate sales with my mom. I was one happy camper. We found so many goodies. I know I haven't opened up my etsy shop officially yet, but I have so many fun items to share with you all when that day comes (hopefully the beginning of June *Crosses fingers). In the mean time though, I thought I would share some of my personal faves from this past weekend.
I have a pyrex problem. End of story.
Some cute vintage toy finds.
Isn't the wave patterned sheer section on the pink dress adorable? I plan on shortening the length of the dress just a smidge. Aaaand last but not least...
I found these cuties at the last estate sale I stopped by. They are carnival chalkware Kewpies from 1919 (they have been dated on the bottom). The girl kewpie is missing her hair...and they are both missing their arms, but they were just too cute and old to pass up. I think these guys are the oldest items I own.
Do any of you collect Kewpies? I have a bunch of Toy Army posts headed your way - these will be included.
Hope you all are having a beautiful day :]
The dress on the left is so pretty! Awesome finds! Totally jeals.

ReplyDeletePEONY
It is my favorite pattern :]
DeleteI have a few kewpie dolls, I only buy ones that are from Hawaii or Alaskan themed. They're probably not even Kewpie per say, but they have that same big eyed, big tummy look. And I can't wait for Toy Army, that's my heartbeat. And that purple and green dress.... I REALLY want to wear it. Post when you do!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. I would love to see the collection some day :]
DeleteI can't believe you found two kewpie dolls. Amazing. You are so lucky.
ReplyDeleteI really am lucky. I almost left with only one of them too. I had to double back though and scoop up the other so they could spend the rest of eternity with each other.
Deletei love that floral dress!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It is pretty groovy and wonderful :]
DeleteSuch cool stuff! Makes me REALLY wish it were Sunday so I could go to the flea market!
ReplyDeleteI hope you got some thrifting in on Sunday!
DeleteI just bought that exact same yellow coffee dispenser from a garage sale just a couple of weeks ago!
