Most Wanted Mondays - Set sail
I have only been sailing once. My family and I rented a small sailboat one day while in Rhode Island. Since both of my parents grew up there they know how to sail and all the terms that come along with it. My dad tried to explain to us what each thing meant and when you had to move. My rebellious middle school self just let all the information in one ear and out the other. When it was time to have the sail move to the other side of the boat everyone quickly ducked to the other side except me. The boom(?) nearly knocked me into the ocean. Whoops. Thankfully my dad caught me in time. I haven't been sailing since. Aside from me nearly being knocked overboard it was a lot of fun. Yeah, yeah...get on to the goods, right? For today's post I thought a nautical theme would was appropriate since I am currently missing the ocean.

It was a good thing you didn't get knocked overboard. Sailing looks kind of glamorous but it doesn't appeal to me since I get seasick. I do like a little nautical style though :) Knox the Nifty Knit Narwhal is too cute!

I am so glad I didn't get knocked overboard. I probably would never consider sailing again. I am sorry you get seasick. I love being out on the ocean. My roommate has a knit narwhal and it is adorable.

Love your choices! The last time I was on a boat I had really bad seasickness - granted it was going over the Irish Sea but it was in a huge passenger ship so the idea of being on anything smaller and on a rough sea makes me sick thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I am sorry to hear that. It is so pretty being out on the ocean. I love when it gets really wavy. So many people get seasick though unfortunately.

DeleteI love the beach, but don't actually go out on the ocean because I get sea-sick :/ ill get out in it physically but not on a boat or anything.

Deletebah you picked out like everything from my modcloth faves. and i bought that sugarhill boutique dress from asos - i loved it,but it was SO see thru and really not amazing for the price. i was so sad to return it. i want that sail print one and that first rachel antoff dress so bad!

DeleteI really like nautical stuff, I also love mermaids although yeah, sadly, they aren't real. That modcloth bathing suit is gorgeous! I've never been sailing, I love the water but I get so sea sick.

Ha. I love that cute sailing clothes can make people miss the ocean. The ppcollar is one of my faves - I love that you shortened it to ppcollar because it is such a pain to keep writing out. I will probably steal that. Thanks :] That wolf picture is so sweet. I was afraid he was getting lost in the clothes.
