Started to think I forgot about
Thrifted Thursdays, didn't you? Well it's back! I haven't had a whole lot of luck in my past few thrifting adventures so I thought I would show off some of my favorites from previous excursions.
I picked up this beauty for 10 cents!! I kid you not. I bought it 3 years ago but can not forget the incredible price I paid for it. It's frame sure isn't the cutest thing in the world, but the owl sure is. I love his big eyes and criss-crossed chest. This is probably my favorite owl item of my entire collection.
This gorgeous little jewelry box was given to me on my birthday from my boyfriend. Isn't he sweet? Technicallyyyyy, I didn't thrift this, but Brian did. I was so excited that he went thrifting for my prezzies instead of buying stuff from a department store. I like when guys pick up on what you are in to - and for me that is thrifting.
Aaaaaand I picked up this gem two years ago (I can always remember when I bought things based off of where I was living at the time, haha), for under a dollar. It is in brand spankin new condition! You could use it as a neat lunch box, pencil case, or photo box (what I use it as) amongst other things. I love the photo on the front and fun colors. The face looks more banged up in the photo than it actually is, it got slightly banged up when I moved last summer.

Anywho, hope you all are having a beautiful day. I know I am. The sun is shining and I am wearing the beautiful teal necklace I received in the mail yesterday from
Grace and Viola's incredible giveaway!! Thank you so much. I am going to show it off in a post tomorrow. Aaaand today I won my second ever giveaway from
Cupcake and Corsets, a $50 gift card to Novica.com. Thank you so much as well - I am having the hardest time narrowing down what to buy!! Oh my gosh. I tend to have the worst luck, but it sure seems like it is turning around.

DeleteWow that embroidery owl is so cool! I've been trying to learn to embroider and can't get my head or my hands around it so I totally appreciate all the beautiful and hard work that went into that picture!
ReplyDelete:] Thanks. I want to learn how to embroider as well but I am sure it will take awhile to get the hang of.
DeleteThat owl is really cool, but the wooden jewelry box is definitely my favorite! It's so gorgeous!

ReplyDelete:] I want to go to estate auctions so badly!! I can never find anyone to drag along with me though. That is awesome that you and your sister did that.

DeleteI am glad to hear you had such a lovely day. Way to go for winning TWO giveaways... I have never won one.
ReplyDeleteThank you :] You will win one. Just stay positive. I also think that breaking up entries help. Do the initial entry, and if they have the option for other entries do one a few days later?
DeleteThat owl is adorable! And congrats on those giveaways:D
ReplyDeleteAlso, yep! That is the Japanese soda, I have one in peach flavor and one in melon I think. Hope opening them isn't hard!

Haha, that is awesome. Thank you. And I will try my best! *sending positive vibes your way :]
DeleteOh my god I remember when Brian bought that for you! He was asking everyone's opinion to see if he did a good job haha
ReplyDeleteHaha, that is really cute. He always freaks out when xmas or my birthday is coming up.
DeleteLove these finds!
ReplyDeleteThat tin is awesome. Just looked at your little "about me" bit and guess up what, I grew up in a place called Lincoln in England! My mum still lives there. It's a beautiful city, you should check it out.
ReplyDelete:] I would love to! Hopefully I can get to England again soon. I need to work on my frequent flyer miles.
DeleteThat jewelery box is so cute. I once found a wooden box looking similar to it when I was in India (I bought it as a present) and it had this secret compartment to it when you would put pressure on part of the wood. So awesome!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is awesome! Mine doesn't have any nifty secret compartments. I am sure who ever received that as a gift was really excited about it :]
DeleteAaah, that owl! So cute! :)
ReplyDelete:]
Deletewow! my mum has a jewelry box like that, it looks EXACTLY the same! That's kind of cool :)
ReplyDeleteIt could be the same design. I saw one that looked the same at a thrift store not too long ago. Mine came with a note that someone had bought it in 1977 in the caribbean.
