Japan - Day 2 and 3

Hey guys! Thanks for the positive feed back the other day about my trip. I will be all caught up shortly. After day 3 I didn't take as many photos in a day so combining a bunch of days should be easy. I am excited for Toy Army Tuesday tomorrow. I still am working on catching up on emails and what not so please bare with me.

Day two

We headed out to one of my personal favorite spots in Tokyo on this day - Harajuku!! The photo above is of the famous street where some of the best shopping is. Before I got my shop on we headed to Yoyogi park to eat lunch and slack line.

Let's be real - I didn't slack line, only Mike did. I have tried before and didn't feel like whiping out on my second day. We did draw quite a bit of attention and after about 20 minutes the cops came to ask us to take it down. Whoops.

After lunch we went to Meiji Jingu - a beautiful Shinto shrine dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken.

Shopping in Harajuku is a dream.

Day 3

Day 3 was spent in Kamakura. It is a beautiful sea side town full of beautiful shrines and Buddha's. Above was the first shrine we went to and it had two beautiful golden buddhas - unfortunately cameras were not allowed inside.

For 5 cents you could climb in this buddha. I think he was my personal favorite.

Afterwards we got lost and ended up hiking in Jurassic Park.

For this temple you had to climb through a cut out boulder to find the shrine. Once you were inside you went into a cave to wash your money for good luck.

My personal favorite - watching the sun set behind Mt.Fuji on the beach. *sighhhh. The only way it could have been better was if it were summer time and actually warm on the beach. Other than that - no complaints here :]

  23. I don't know how I missed this post, but I LOVED it. You took so many appropriate pictures (for lack of a better word) to show people that have never been to Japan, just how awesome and colorful it is. Harajuku would certainly be my favorite spot as well, I just know it! That body line store looks heavenly and the clothes from another store are soooo cute! How much were the dresses and blouses there?

    1. :] I am so glad you liked it. I know it is a bit overkill but Japan is gorgeous.

The clothing prices really ranged. You could get a cute top or dress from $10 to over a hundred. I obviously went the cheaper route, haha, but everything was wonderful. On average though I would say most items were $20 and up...similar to here in the states.
