Thrifted & Gifted

Hi guys!! Happy Tuesday to ya. Skipping Toy Army Tuesday this week because my cousins drove in last minute and I didn't have time for photos - wah, wahhh. My mom also has this week off for vacation so we have been trying to fill our days with fun things. Yesterday we took sweetpea to the city and walked around Millennium park aaaand later in the afternoon we saw Magic Mike - ahahaha. So many screaming ladies in one theatre and a lot of nearly naked men - eeep! Today we are going to see Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth house (for real this time!!) - it rained during our appointment on Sunday :-/

A little about this outfit - the beautiful top was gifted to me by one of my blogging besties. Thank you again so much! I have had so much fun wearing it and have gotten a bunch of compliments on it. I love anything lace so it was right up my alley. I am still on the look out for the perfect prezzie in return :] I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people I have met blogging. I am continually blown away by all of the sweet bloggers I have come across. I am so glad to have met you all!! Thank you so much for stopping by and saying hey - your comments and support mean so much. *end sappy (but true) mushy gushy stuffs* Haha. As for the pencil skirt, it was a fun thrift find from last summer.

Outfit Details: Top - Gifted, Robin-K | Bag - Urban Outfitters (old) | Skirt - Thrifted | Flats - Me Too.

Have you taken my survey? (see right sidebar)
I notice that some posts seem more popular than others, but I was wondering - which posts do you like reading most here on ShyScout? I have been looking to shake things up a bit and would love some input. Thank you!

Can't wait to celebrate the 4th-O-July tomorrow. Not entirely sure what my plans are just yet, but fireworks will be involved :]

  4. This is an adorable outfit, I love the lace top. I plan on seeing Magic Mike but probably not until it comes out on DVD, I don't think my boyfriend could even sit through it with a straight face.

    1. Thank you! Haha. Mmmm, I think it is only good for the pecs. It basically is everything you would expect the movie to be. Ha. Good luck with that!! I don't think I could ever convince my boyfriend to tag along for that movie.

  19. Awwwwiiieee I love this post! Not only do I enjoy reading uber sweet comments directed specifically at me (HAHAH I'm such an ass) but I think you look absolutely stunning in these photos/this outfit all around. Your hair, shy smile, that darling pencil skirt! There's no doubt that top was made for you, friend! ♥

Also, you and your mommy always seem to have thee most amazing mother daughter dates! I secretly wanna just cut in there with y'all. "May I have this dance...with the both of you?"
I can't believe she saw Magic Mike with you!! ahahahah! AWESOMENESS. I actually saw that movie on opening night with my girlfriend and cousin and O.M.G. were there SO many (screaming) ladies in my theater as well! LOL I never heard so many perverse comments directed at a screen in all my life. There were about 5 males in the theater too. I was like, "wooo! I wanna sit with y'all!" haha It was fun because my girlfriend kept making all these moany noises and Mmmhhmm'ing at the screen, even squeezing my arm when she couldn't resist Channing Tatum's bod-scenes. I was like, "Whoa! Get a grip on your own arm!" LOL She was a trip! But yeah, fun to do with the girls, but definitely not worth seeing ever, ever again...definitely not worth owning. Although I'm sure most women would think I were crazy for even saying that. Channing Tatum or those other meat heads never did it for me. Matthew McConaughey now, he's a hottie that just gets better and better, but he was a prick in the movie. Show me a movie with half naked male leads that go by the names of Jason Bateman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling, Jim (from The Office), Jon Hamm, Paul Rudd, and Joshua Hartnet and oh man, I'll be there in a second. (Can you tell I know exactly who I'm obsessed with? Stalker much?) Haha but really. Someone in Hollywood should set that up. Then I'll be doing some in-the-theater moaning and groaning and pinching. <--Yikes!
