Wardrobe Wednesday - I love Lucy

Hi lovelies!! Happy August 1st - where the heck has the time gone? Hope you all are having a good week. I am wishing it were the weekend already. I want to sleep in so badly, however, I will be moving my brother in to his first apartment in the city Saturday - so maybe it's a good thing it is Wednesday. Haha. Anywho... I cut and dyed my hair on Sunday and this was the result. Pretttty darn red, but I like it.

I couldn't help but feel like a modern day Lucille Ball when I put this dress on. I love the navy and white polka dot combo :] How do you all feel about asymmetrical dresses? I am still getting used to wearing this one myself.

I am thinking this dress needs a cute pair of red or white pumps to jazz it up a bit. Good excuse to shop, no?

Outfit Details: Dress - TJ Maxx | Belt - Dorothy Perkins | Purse - Silk Market | Flats - Urban Outfitters.

Looking at these photos I realize I am quite the ghost. Whoops. Maybe I should work on catching some rays. Catch you all on the flip side!

  3. You know I love Lucille Ball, and this outfit definitely channels her! I love how bright your hair is and the navy and polka dots are spot-on(no pun intended). I've actually been liking the asymmetrical dresses lately. This one looks really good but I bet it would look good with wedges or pumps too.

    1. Thank you! Oh no. I use a hair dye that lightens your color while it dyes it because I started out with really dark hair - it seems to work well :] They are so much fun to wear, you should give it a go!

  17. Dude, yesss very Lucille Ball aka my idol!! Props, dude, props. ;) Red shoes will be the cherry for this Lucy-perfection. Do what you do best and check those thrift stores!! Hahaha
I too am suppper fond and intrigued by these mullet style skirts and dresses. I found one that I absolutely must have on ModCloth but I don't feel like paying $80 or $90 bucks for it. (I really am getting better with purchases!) You got lucky at TJMaxx with this one. I've been a maniac, visiting my local TJM's and Marshall's lately! I got lucky finding a really cute polka dot cropped button down. Yay me!
I can't call you a ghost when I have visited pools and the beach more this summer than ever in my life and all I got was an awkwardly shaped sunburn that has finally gone away. It didn't turn into much of a tan. Thank goodness, because I'd need to even it out somehow.
And yesss! Freakin' A. This year is going by incredibly fast, much to my displeasure. That just means closer to getting older and, if weirdos are right, the world ending, which I am just NOT okay with. ;)
    I've missed you! ♥

I love that you call them the mullet skirt/dress. That is definitely what they are. Awesome! I saw a cute top like that at TJ's yesterday - I wonder if it was the same one.

Eeep! Yeah. I am hoping that whole mumbo jumbo is wrong. *crosses fingers.

      I missed you too!!!!
