Most wanted Mondays - Birds of a feather
Growing up one of my fondest memories is of the owls. On top of my childhood home we had this awful 14ft bird cage looking antenna. I met people who knew my house before they had even met me due to the crazy contraption on top of our roof. You would think that we had excellent TV channels to choose from, but the truth is that we didn't even have cable. Our house was constantly being hit by lightning. Why we didn't bother to take the crazy thing down until we moved is beyond me, but anyways... The one great thing about that 14ft antenna was that it attracted the owls. For a few years, late at night when everything was quiet, you could hear the owls "whoooing" on top of our roof. My mom and I would sneak outside to look up at them and watch them fly off into the darkness. Since then I have loved anything and everything owl related. I have accumulated quite the collection of owl items and thought for this post it would be fun to make a list of owl and bird related items. Enjoy :]

Deletei've been wanting a feather tattoo on my neck for the longest time now. but the fact that i've not yet gone ahead and gotten it tells me i'm subliminally still hesitant because i know me. if i really want something bad enough - i find a way to get it! ahah.

and we'll see about that book mark! i want one SO bad - but i can't justify paying $20 for it on etsy when i know if i build up the courage to attempt it... i could probably make it. and to my desired specs! :) ahah.

I know a girl who has a feather tattoo that comes out behind her ear and it looks really pretty. Haha. Well it is a big decision so it is could you're sitting on it for a bit.

ReplyDeleteYour contraption on your roof sounds like the hideous one we had! Although yours was a little bigger. hehe We didn't have cable either, so to this day I have no idea what its purpose was.
Those tights at the top are super cute; I've always seen those on ModCloth. I have their peacock tights in grey, but I want all the colors they offer. They're so cool! And you'll never go out in them without getting compliments from everyone and their momma.
I think you'd pull of that cardigan perfectly, by the way!

I saw their peacock ones and they are suppper cute. I love anything peacock though too. I need to invest in fun tights.

I love the little tidbit about the owls, that is so cool, did you get any good pictures of the owls? Or did you get any pictures of lightning hitting the antenna on your roof? I like owls as well, there is so much mythology behind owls that I find so fascinating. I love the feather headband as well, anything feathers really.
