Most Wanted Monday - Tattoos

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good and relaxing weekend, mine was just that. I had fun celebrating Brian's birthday with his family and then with friends in Chicago, saw my cousins, had sushi with my dad, and did a bit of gardening. Today is my dads birthday. I baked him a yummy angel food cake with mocha frosting - his personal fave :] I have more job hunting to do today, wahoo. Please send me some good vibes!

For today's Most Wanted Monday I thought it would be fun to show off some tattoos I have fallen in love with recently. My mother specifically told me she couldn't handle if I got another one this weekend, so of course I want another now (see my tattoo here). Just one on my inner arm, or maybe my thigh? Hmmmm. Obviously I don't have enough thought put in to it to get one...just yet.

Floral

1. Poppies - Sang Noir.

2. Orchids - Davie Hale.

3. Bouquet - Josh Cerny, formerly at Steady Tattoo. Now at Live Fast Die Young Tattoos.

Animals

4. Tattoo Commission - Nan Lawson.

5. Fox - Unsure of artist, found on Baked Fish's Photostream.

6. Bird/floral - Unsure of artist, found on Mariah is on Fire's photostream.
Not Katie's from Skunkyboy...but close-ish (?).

Cameo

7. Grandad cameo - Miguel Angel Tattoo.

8. Cameo - Katie's Pencil Box.

Basically - put some flowers, cute animals, and a vintage frame around it and - BAM! I kid, sort of. Looking to get some new ink, or have any recently acquired some? Let me know! I would love to see/hear about it :] Happy Monday y'all!

**If you know the artists of the tattoos above please let me know so that I can fix the links on my pinterest and credit them. I hate when people pin things without the proper links attached.

  1. I LOVE these! Especially the Nan Lawson one! I love her art. The one that says "Free Indeed" does look like Katie's tattoo! I really like it.

  6. That poppy ink is wholly gorgeous - I might just have to use that inspiration for my next tattoo. The colours and the way the flowers just creep and wind up her arm is just amazing. gorgeous gorgeous!

    1. :] The link you just showed me is so pretty. I would have loved if my piece turned out a bit more like hers. I know I already have one floral tattoo but I wouldn't mind more, haha.

  9. EEEEEP I've got the tattoo itch. Its been over two years since my last one and it's high time for another! I know eventually I'll get a goat man but I'm not sure if I want that to be my next one. I'll probably let my tattoo artist come up with something cause she's that awesome!

I like the idea of having your next one on your inner arm or thigh. I always have the hardest time deciding on the location!

    1. :] That is so cool that you found a tattoo artist that you are so comfortable with. I am sure whatever you get will be awesome.

I like the idea of having my tattoos sort of hidden but a fun surprise :]

  11. Wow! So many beautiful tattoos. I think the peonies are just gorgeous. If I was ever to get a tattoo though, I think I would leave it just black and white lines. I really like that look. :)

  12. These are all SO up my street! I have been after a fox tattoo for ages, but I haven't perfected the design yet.
In 2 weeks my sister is tattooing me, it is going to be a version of a vintage ring that was my Great Grandma's. It's going on my left calf and I can't wait! =D

  13. Tattoos like these make me want to get more. But then it'd be so hard for me to get a job as a solicitor if I had more :( booo. Maybe when I have my midlife crisis ;) haha

  14. I've had a tattoo in mind that I want done for ages now, but I just can't get up the nerve to go and get it done! I don't know any tattooists and I think it's important to be able to talk comfortably with whoever does it, which is probably why I'm so nervous, may have to go loiter around some tattoo shops :P xx

  16. I love the cameo idea! So artistic and mysterious, and less chance for the artist to mess up... Portraits sometimes can get quite... Unlike the real thing. :)
I've been pinning tattoos on Pinterest too, I'm seriously tempted... I'd love a cat with me at all times! :)

    1. Haha. I totally agree with you. That sounds like an excellent idea. I had a photo of a cameo cat tattoo - I should have posted it!

  17. I like the colors in the first one and the second fox. Good luck on the job hunt lady. Job hunting is my number one pet peeve with interviews coming in a close second. Horrible.

  18. OMG I've always had it on my tattoo list (I do have one!) to get a bird of some sort tattoo since I've forever referenced myself as a "free bird". I just never got any great artistic ideas so it never came to life. You just triggered my urge for it!
The fox tattoo is soooo cute and I have loved them only since I got my dog Jaxon in 2009. He resembles a fox like crazy and is always getting accused of one when we see people in the streets. They think he's either a fox or a coyote. It's so cute.
Those cameo/silhouettes are also something so pretty to get tattooed. You should totally do it! In like a turquoise-y color! I can see it now. Do it, before I do. haha kidding. Or am I?
