My New(ish) Closet

Hey guys! How's it goin? I have been missing Toy Army Tuesday and am planning on brining it back next week, wahoo! Todays post made me miss my toy collection, which sadly, half of is still packed in boxes. Moving is a pain. It always takes me ages to get settled back in. Haha. It has only been 5 months...

I did make some progress a few weeks ago though! I extended my closet :] My room's closet is teeny. I don't think it really qualifies as a closet...it is more of a dent in my wall which can hold a few coats and that is about it. I was tired of having to dig through drawers and boxes for clothes so I FINALLY bought a clothes rack - best decision ever!! It is so nice to quickly see what I own and grab what I want to wear. No longer does my wardrobe explode every time I go to get dressed. *does a happy dance. Anywho. I have seen some bloggers show off their closet so I thought it would be fun to give you a minor tour.

This would be my "closet". As you can see, it only holds coats, sweaters, Ugly Dolls, Domo babies, and a ton of purses. Not much room for anything else. Half of what I own could possibly fit in there technically, but there would no way to pull it back out.

Running low on space I decided to rearrange my room and create an entire wall to play dress up in! It is so much easier getting ready in the morning when you can see everything you own. It may not look like much, but it has been such an improvement. To any of you that lack closet space - I highly recommend purchasing a clothes rack - RIGHT NOW :] I know it is such a simple solution, unfortunately, it only took me 23 years to catch on. Haha.

Next I need to work on my shoes...

How is your closet set up? Is everything neat and orderly? Or is it complete chaos?

    1. Thank you. It is pretty useful. It can hold a ton of extra odds and ends that I don't feel like displaying.

  3. I just re-organized my closet, and that will probably last about 2 days before it's a complete mess again!

    1. Hahaha. Yeah. My room may be a bit of a mess at the moment. But not nearly as bad as it could be.

  5. We just moved and I feel your pain of the unpacking, even if it's been months. All my belongings are in my in-laws garage. I have my necessities like dresses, shoes and stuff like that. But I think I need a clothing rack for sure. All your things look really cute!

  7. Ooh, I have four clothing racks that I don't need anymore (since Mikey redid mine and nailed the poles into the walls). If shipping them wouldn't be such a huge pain in the ass, I would have happily given them to you! Too bad we're not in the same city :/ We really need to fix that problem. :)
I love your closet though!! It really looks like a dressing room! Especially with your beautiful vanity set. I have wanted a vanity since I was a child. Every year at Christmas Mikey has me pick out my favorite vanity set from a group he's picked out, but I just don't have the room for it in this apartment. Plus the lighting is so shoddy in every room.
And can we talk about all the cute accessories that decorate your closet?! Loving the peter pan collars! :) Need that strawberry bag! And I love the details of all your pretty printed dresses!

    1. Haha aw. Thanks for the thought though. I wish we lived closer. Hopefully some day soon though we will be in the same state :]

Thank you! The vanity set is my mothers from when she was a kid. I love it. It could use some touching up though. I hope you can have one some day when you have the room.

Haha. I know! They definitely cheer up my room. I can't wait for a fancy night out to sport one. They are fantastic!

      :]

  11. My closet since moving into my sister's old room is much larger than what I used to have. But it is chaos and yucky. I have so much stuff and no doors to the closet and I don't really want to put them back on cause I don't think I'll be able to open some of my storage drawers. So I think I want to create a curtain thing to go across and cover it up. Any DIY ideas for this? haha cause I need as much help as I can get. I adore that clothes rack. I want one cause it would make me feel like I am shopping everytime I get dressed.

    *babbling ends now*
