Toy Army Tuesday - Introduction

Hi lovelies! Today I thought I would announce a new feature to my blog - Toy Tuesday. I thought it would be fun to share my love of toys and toy collection! Each Tuesday I hope to share with you information about various toys and ones from my collection. You may be thinking - toys? really? But there is a lot more to them than you might think. I am really hoping some of you may be as interested in them as I am. *Crosses fingers.

I thought I would start small today, simply photographing some of my collection. In the upcoming weeks I will give you more information about the type of toy, it's artist, etc. I also thought it might be awesome to have guests on here share about their collection. But for now here is a sneak peak of what is to come!

I didn't start collecting until last spring but my collection has come a long way since then :]

Photographed above: Dunnies, Labbit, Scavengers, Domo, Ugly Dolls, Blythe - more about them coming next week! Have a great Tuesday everyone.

  3. Amazing collection! I had now idea Kathie Olivas had toys. They look amazing!
I've always been interested in these kinds of collectables, but somehow never bought one. Kinda weird, consider I'm such a collector;)
Then again, I don't see them in stores that often.

Anyway, I look forward to next week already! Great post<3

    1. Eeep! I love Kathie Olivas and I have an awesome story to share about those two :] Maybe I will make that my post next week. I am glad you spotted her stuff.

Aside from some KidRobot stuff, which are sold at Urban Outfitters, most of the vinyl toys are sold at specialty stores. Which stinks because it makes it harder to buy/find them when you live in the middle of no where like I currently do.

I am glad you're excited about this. It gives me an (actual) excuse to be a nerd one day out of the week.

    2. Oh yes, please do! I'd love to hear about those two:)

We are one of few countries without an Urban Outfitters! Thankfully Antwerp is only about 2 hours away, so I get to visit one once a year or so. And next time I do I'll be sure to keep my eyes open;)

I have spotted some specialty stores, and a while back saw this Tara McPherson Hello Kitty in a children's clothing shop, I should head on over there and see if they still have it!

  7. These are just too cute! I actually like this idea of posting about the different toys! I see a lot of bloggers talk about Blythe dolls (which I know absolutely NOTHING about), so it'd be cool if you'd share information!

  9. Aww, so much cute in this post. I own a few dunnies, one is a bit scandalous, so clearly that one is my favorite haha. I like toys myself and I think this is a great idea.

  18. Hey hey hey there is nothing wrong with having/collecting toys! I still have a small collection of stuffed animals, and like I leaked out on my blog one day, I sleep with a giant Lotso Bear (from Toy Story) every night because he's soooo soft!! I love my Lotso. :)) And I still enjoy coloring in my cbooks. Who cares?! So I'm a kid at heart - I love it and it makes me happy. Your toy collection seems way cooler than my stuffed animals anyhow! You know what I want to collect? Barbies. Obviously the collectable ones. There is this super cool one that came out last November or something that I wanted SO bad. She has pink hair and tattoos! It's probably the coolest Barbie doll on the planet and it was only $50. I just didn't get it since I didn't already have a collection. But anywho...see, I trail off a lot on comments. I just talk to much. So you didn't have to apologize earlier for leaving a long one on mine because clearly I am the Queen Babbler.
Have a great Wednesday and I look forward to your Toy Tuesday posts. :)
